Game Mechanics and Matching Logic

Mosaic Seams uses four independent tiles, each displaying one of three equally likely shapes. You count matching adjacent pairs across the three seams. Each match contributes 0.96x to the gross return. The total possible returns are 0x, 0.96x, 1.92x, or 2.88x. The score function relies on three equal adjacent pair indicators, each with a 1/3 probability, yielding a linear expectation of 0.96.

Stakes, Settlement and Wallet Rules

Available stakes are 10, 25, 50, and 100, with 25 as the default. The stake is deducted once at the start and persists before animation. Gross returns include the stake. Payouts are computed in hundredths; fractional carry is kept separately, while only floor whole coins are credited. Automatic settlement occurs at the exit or end of reveal. Reloading discards unfinished rounds without refund.

Wallet Management and Refill Options

The demo starts with an initial balance of 1000 virtual coins. Manual refill is available only when idle and the balance drops below 10, setting the balance to 1000 rather than adding to it. Whole coins are stored in localStorage, while fractional hundredths are persisted separately. Controls for stake, start, and mode are disabled while a round is active.

Frequently asked questions

How is the payout calculated in Mosaic Seams?

Each matching adjacent pair across the three seams returns 0.96x gross. The total return is the sum of matches, resulting in 0x, 0.96x, 1.92x, or 2.88x. Gross returns include the initial stake.

What happens if I reload the page during a game?

Reloading discards any unfinished round without refund or resumed settlement. The stake remains deducted, and the pending round flag is cleared. You must start a new round after reload.
